I’m a passionate music lover and vinyl collector from Memphis, TN! Growing up in the city where Stax Records and Beale Street was born taught me the importance of music and preserving its legacy by passing it down to future generations to enjoy. For as long as I can remember, my surroundings have always been immersed in the soulful sounds of artists like Al Green, Johnnie Taylor, and Otis Redding. Even as a kid, I noticed that the music from the past was just as good as any of the music from the present, which moved me to explore previous decades and find those timeless gems that stood out to me. After many years of diving deep into the catalogs of genius musicians, I’ve gained extensive knowledge on soul music history, which I am continuously expanding on daily.

Collecting vinyl records has pushed my music exploration even deeper. I’ve been spinning records for over 10 years now with a constantly growing collection of music ranging from soul, gospel, jazz, funk, blues, hip-hop, to rock & roll. I get most of my records from local record stores and thrift shops, but I do love the occasional Discogs browse! I love to showcase my collection on IG with the vinyl community whenever I have free time. Follow my vinyl account and join the vinyl community if you haven’t already!

I’m also an aspiring musician and self-taught vocalist! I was that 4 year old kid performing for my family in the living room like I was on a world tour stage 😂. One of my goals is to not only preserve the legacy of soul music, but also to contribute to it someday! I believe that musicianship is still important even in this era of advanced technology, so I am currently learning piano and guitar. Check out some of my music content below!
